Spanish giant, Real Madrid, have confirmed the signing of Chelsea striker Eden Hazard on a five-year deal, the LaLiga club said in a statement on Friday.

The 28-year-old leaves Europa League winners Chelsea after seven years at Stamford Bridge, with the two clubs agreeing to a fee of 100 million euros for the player.

The Belgian international will be officially presented at the at the Bernabéu on June 13.

Hazard, who has been a prime target of Madrid for quite some time, will come into to strengthen the attacking line of coach Zinedine Zidane, who will have the option of playing the versatile striker in several positions — on the right or left or as a false nine.

During his seven years at Stamford Bridge, Hazard provided 110 goals and 92 assists in 352 games, winning two Premier League titles, two Europa League titles, one FA Cup and one League Cup.

“Although it is with sadness we say goodbye to Eden and we made it absolutely clear to him the club wished him to stay, we respect the decision he has made to take on a new challenge in a different country and follow his childhood dream of playing for Real Madrid,” read a statement by Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia on the club’s website.

The Belgian striker becomes the second most expensive signing in Madrid’s history after Gareth Bale, and president Florentino Perez’s first Galactico-level acquisition since 75-million-euro James Rodriguez in 2014.

“We’ve been trying for a number of years to make Hazard a Real Madrid player, but we haven’t achieved it yet,” said Pérez in a radio interview just last week.

“I’d really like Hazard to come to Real Madrid and really hope he does. He is one of the best footballers.”

Real Madrid have completed the signing of Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt on a deal until 2025.

The 21-year-old Serbia international emerged as one of the most sought-after talents in European football during the 2018-19 campaign.

Jovic will wear the famous white Real Madrid shirt next season after his former club Eintracht Frankfurt confirmed the striker moves to LaLiga on a five year deal.

Eintracht sporting director Fredi Bobic stated: “On a sporting front, Luka Jovic leaving is a big loss for us. His explosiveness and scoring skills have spread throughout Europe and we’ve benefited not only from his goals over the past two years. But for us it was clear that there is a financial pain threshold. For Eintracht Frankfurt this is a good transfer. We wish Luka only the best for his future. He has the best qualifications for a great career. And we are proud that we were able to support him along the way.”

Jovic took Germany and Europe by storm last season with 27 goals and seven assists. Many other clubs were interested, but Real Madrid moved ahead of the pack. He is a goalscorer who can help out Benzema, as he is a great finisher and is also great in the air. With Eder Militao and Rodrygo already signed and Eden Hazard and Ferland Mendy on the way, Real Madrid‘s summer has started well.

In just two months of making a sensational return to Real Madrid, French tactician, Zinedine Zidane, has issued a red alert statement that he might quit the job if not giving the full authority to select the players that makes his team.

There has been plenty of speculation regarding whether the club have told him who they want and who they don’t want in the squad next season, especially in the goalkeeper position.

“I will decide who will be the first and second choice goalkeepers,” Zidane told the press. “It’s my decision. It’s as clear as water. If I can’t do what I want with my team, I will leave, that’s for sure.

“Then there are people who sign players and we do that together. But the starting 11, the bench, those that aren’t in the squad, that’s only for me to decide.”

There were reports in the media that Keylor Navas has been told he can leave Los Blancos this summer, but Zidane denied any official decision has been made.

Real Madrid complete signing of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic

Real Madrid have reportedly completed the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic for £52.4million, as reported by Sky in Germany.

Jovic has been hugely impressive on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt this season, with the German club having recently exercised an option to sign him permanently from Benfica this summer.

Real are now set to bring in Jovic on a five-year contract as they look to bolster their resources as part of a summer rebuild.

Frankfurt will pay Benfica around £10.5m of the transfer fee, as reported by Sky Sports.

Jovic has been excellent this season – he has scored 27 goals in 47 appearances in all competitions, and helped Frankfurt to reach the semi-finals of the Europa League.

Having performed to such a high standard, Jovic is also being monitored by Premier League champions Manchester City.

However, it seems that the Serbia international is set for Real, who are determined to improve upon a campaign that sees them 18 points adrift of leaders Barcelona going into the final day of the campaign.

After starting out at Red Star Belgrade, Jovic joined Benfica in 2016 but played just four times for the Portuguese club before heading to Frankfurt on a two-year loan deal.

Frankfurt still have two Bundesliga fixtures remaining this season – away to Bayern Munich and at home to Wolfsburg – after which there is likely to be an official announcement on Jovic’s future.
